Twinning

The club has an active social calendar as well as playing and holding various events throughout the year for the enjoyment of its members. Of special note is the club's annual twinning event with the AJK club from Vannes in Brittany (www.ajkvannes.com). Representatitive teams from the club take part in various events over a weekend, usually Whitsun in May of each year.

Turns are taken by each of the two clubs to host all members from the other club in their homes. A varied programme of social and Table Tennis events are laid on over the weekend. This event has proved to be great fun for all concerned over the past twenty five years or so. The town of Vannes is an extremely attractive example of French medieval architecture. Fund raising events, such as Quiz nights, are held in order to raise money for the annual twinning event. The club belongs to the Fareham/Vannes Twinning Association whose aims are to facilitate social and economic links between the two towns.
